Tip follow-up: Melanie De Biasio picks up award

Melanie De BiasioFollowing on our tip of a few weeks, ago, the jazz chanteuse Melanie De Biasio has just picked up an Octave music award in her native Belgium, in the jazz section. De Biasio released “A Stomach is Burning” on the Igloo label earlier in the year and has been picking up rave reviews for its warm, moody tone. At the award ceremony she sang barefoot accompanied by a double bass and Steve Houben on sax. Check her MySpace page for music and dates in Belgium and Holland.
